As of October 20, 2023, the New South Wales (NSW) Ministry of Health has discontinued the publication of weekly COVID-19 updates on its website and social media channels.

Live Tracking and Data Availability

Live tracking of COVID-19 cases, active tests, deaths, ICU hospitalizations, and vaccinations in NSW remains available through various web resources:

Best Measures of Community Spread

According to NSW Health, the best measures of COVID-19 spread in the community are:

• Wastewater surveillance
• Hospitalization and intensive care unit (ICU) admissions

• Surveillance of respiratory illnesses
