Reagan's Daughter Approves of Casting Choice

Dennis Quaid has been cast as Ronald Reagan in an upcoming biopic about the 40th U.S. President. The film, titled "Reagan," is set to begin production in early 2023.

Quaid, 68, is a veteran actor with a career spanning over four decades. He has starred in over 100 films, including "The Right Stuff," "Innerspace," and "Far from Heaven."

Reagan's daughter, Patti Davis, has praised the casting choice. In a statement, she said, "Dennis Quaid is a wonderful actor and I believe he will do a great job portraying my father."

The film is being directed by Sean Penn, who is also set to play Mikhail Gorbachev. The screenplay was written by Dustin Lance Black, who won an Academy Award for his work on the film "Milk."

The film is expected to be released in 2024, the 100th anniversary of Reagan's birth.
